Women's Soccer Report (Week 7) - Mount Remains in Four Team Race After Busy Week

GREENWOOD, IN - Mount St. Joseph had a busy week of conference action, taking the field three times during the week of play.  The Lions (9-4-1, 4-1 HCAC) began the week with a loss to Hanover and rebounded to defeat Franklin and Manchester on the road.

Sophomore standout Andrea Caldwell (Cincinnati, Ohio/Purcell Marian) scored a goal in each of the Lions wins last week as the Mount defeated Franklin 5-0 and Manchester 2-0.  MSJ has won five of their past six matches.

Rose-Hulman and Transylvania each moved to 5-1 in HCAC action last week.  The Engineers (6-8, 5-1 HCAC) have won four straight after defeating Anderson 3-2 and Hanover 1-0.  Molly Richardson (Orange Park, Fla./St. John's Country Day) scored a goal and an assist in the win over Anderson and added another goal in the win over previously unblemished Hanover.

Transylvania (9-5-1, 5-1 HCAC) posted a 2-1 record on the week, which included only one conference clash.  The Pioneers defeated Berea 3-0 and fell to No. 25 Washington and Lee 1-0 in non-conference affairs.  TU knocked off Bluffton 2-0 Saturday in HCAC play.

Hanover (9-4-1, 4-1 HCAC) saw its six match win streak come to a close Saturday.  The Panthers lost a tough fought 1-0 decision to Rose-Hulman Saturday, but still remain in the four-team race for the conference crown.
