GREENWOOD, IN - The Rose-Hulman women's soccer program earned a share of the HCAC Championship, claiming the school's second title in school history and securing the top seed for the conference tournament.  The Engineers tied with Hanover College at the top of the standings with 7-1 records.  The top-seed Engineers are playing great soccer heading into tournament play, posting an 8-2 record in their last 10 games.  Rose will battle No. 4 seeded Transylvania in one semifinal, while second seeded Hanover will host No. 3 Mount St. Joseph in the second semifinal.

Rose-Hulman finished the regular season with a 7-1 mark in conference play and an 8-9 overall record.  The Engineers secured the top seed in the conference tournament with a 3-2 overtime win over Mount St. Joseph Saturday.  Junior midfielder Eli Baca (Santa Fe, N.M./H.S.) completed her hat trick, scoring the game winner in overtime to deliver the top seed to the Engineers.

Rose-Hulman and Transylvania (11-6-1, 6-2 HCAC)  met back on September 19 in Lexington as the Pioneers earned a 2-1 victory over the Engineers.  Senior midfielder Whitney Price (Marietta, Ohio/H.S.) scored the game-winner in the 82nd minute of action to lead Transy to the win.  Rose-Hulman's Molly Richardson (Orange Park, Fla./St. John's) leads the conference in points scored this season, scoring nine goals and six assists.  The winner of the 2:00 PM match-up will advance on to this Saturday's championship match.

Mount St. Joseph (11-5-2, 6-2 HCAC) and Hanover (12-4-1, 7-1 HCAC) will meet in the second semi-final.  The Panthers defeated the Lions 1-0 in Cincinnati on October 13.  Senior forward Felicia Adams (New Albany, Ind./H.S.) scored the game's lone goal early in the contest.  The conference championship was the first for the Panthers since 2003 and was the third overall for HC.   Action will get underway from Hanover at 2:00 PM Wednesday.

The winner of the conference tournament will earn the conference's automatic qualifier into the NCAA Division III tournament that is slated to begin on November 12.  The highest remaining seed after the two semi-finals will host the conference tournament final at a time to be determined Saturday.
