HCAC Places Six on All-Great Lakes Region Women's Soccer Team
KANSAS CITY, KS - The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference placed six women’s soccer player on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America's Performance Subaru All-Great Lakes Region team in a vote of NCAA Division III coaches.
Transylvania University’s Sarah Zembrodt (Edgewood, Ky./Notre Dame) and Kristin Tenhundfeld (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) earned the conference’s only spots on the first team. Zembrodt, a senior back for the Pioneers, was named the HCAC Defensive MVP for her efforts this fall. Tenhundfeld ranked second in the conference with 12 goals and 36 points her senior season as the Pioneers won the HCAC tournament to earn a spot in the NCAA field.
Earlham College’s Karman Duchon (Decatur, Ga./H.S.) earned the conference’s only spot on the second team. The senior forward led the league in goals (17) and points scored (41) this fall, earning the HCAC Offensive MVP award.
Earlham’s Ikumi Doucette (Berwyn Heights, Md./Eleanor Roosevelt) and Joy Doucette (Berwyn Heights, Md./Eleanor Roosevelt) and Hanover College’s Kaitlin McCulloch (Florence, Ky./Boone Co.) were named as third team members.
A total of 37 players were selected for the All-Great Lakes Region team.
