LEXINGTON, KY - Transylvania senior defender Sarah Zembrodt (Edgewood, Ky./Notre Dame) has been named a second-team All-American by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Zembrodt, a senior from Edgewood, Ky., was previously named the Heartland Conference's Defensive Player of the Year and was a first-team All-HCAC choice. She was also picked for the All-Great Lakes Region first team along with teammate Kristin Tenhundfeld.

Zembrodt anchored a Transy defense that did not permit a goal in two HCAC Tournament games and just 13 overall as the Pioneers posted a 16-3-1 record and advanced to the NCAA Division III Championship for the second year in a row after winning conference regular season and tournament titles.

Zembrodt was the only Heartland Conference player named to the three All-America teams and she was the only Kentucky player on the first two teams.
