Hanover Ready to Host Transylvania in HCAC Women's Soccer Title Match

GREENWOOD, IN - The HCAC women's soccer title match has been set after today's semifinal play.  No. 1 Hanover and No. 3 Transylvania advance to Saturday's title match at Hanover after posting victories today.

One semifinal saw top seed Hanover tangle with No. 4 seed Rose-Hulman.  The Panthers scored a goal in each half to earn the 2-0 win and advance to the title game for the first time since 2011.

No. 3 seed Transylvania earned a 2-0 win at No. 2 seed Manchester Wednesday afternoon.  The Pioneers netted a pair of goals in the final 15 minutes of the match to earn the upset win, ending the Spartans' eight match win streak.

Transylvania will travel to Hanover for the HCAC championship match at 1:00 PM Saturday.  The winner will receive the HCAC's automatic bid to the 2013 NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Tournament.
