GREENWOOD, IN - The Earlham College women's soccer team improved to 3-3-1 on the season following a 2-1 win over Heidelberg in double overtime. The Quakers ended a four match winless streak with the win.
Sophomore back Micaela Bush (Pikeville, Ky./H.S.) scored in the 21st minute of the win, getting the Quakers on the board. Sophomore forward Cherrah Barclay (Takoma Park, Md./Montgomery Blair) netted the game-winner in the 103rd minute of action.
Earlham (3-3-1, 0-0 HCAC) will host Denison and travel to Capital to close out the non-conference schedule this week.
In other action...
Hanover College earned a split for the third straight week. The Panthers were shut out 2-0 at Thomas More and capped the week with a 2-1 win at home over Kenyon. Sophomore forward Elaine Simpson (Lexington, Ky./Tates Creek) scored the game-winner against Kenyon, finding the back of the net in the 81st minute.
Mount St. Joseph ended a three match losing streak with a 6-0 win over Blackburn on the road. Six different players scored in the win for the Lions (3-5, 0-0 HCAC).
Franklin pulled out a pair of 1-1 ties at Fontbonne and Webster in St. Louis over the weekend. The Grizzlies (2-2-2, 0-0 HCAC) also suffered a 1-0 loss at DePauw earlier in the week.
