Kate Franks, Earlham College, Women's Soccer

Earlham College senior goalkeeper Kate Franks (Hopewell, Ohio/West Muskingum) posted a pair of shutouts against regionally ranked opponents and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week. 

The senior led Earlham to a 2-0 win over nationally ranked Transylvania and a 1-0 win over regionally ranked Hanover during the week. 

Franks had eight saves against the Pioneers and added five saves against the Panthers as EC took control of the HCAC women’s soccer race. 

Earlham (8-4-1, 5-0 HCAC) has won six straight matches and will face Defiance and Manchester this week.
