Women's Tennis Report (Week 2) - Transy Finishes Week Perfect in Conference Play
GREENWOOD, IN -The Transylvania women's tennis team moved into a first-place tie in the conference standings with a perfect 3-0 mark last week. The Pioneers stand with Rose-Hulman as the only remaining conference unbeaten squads.
Transy (4-2, 3-0 HCAC) notched victories over Hanover (8-1), Manchester (9-0), and Franklin (6-3) last week, while Rose-Hulman (4-0, 3-0 HCAC) defeated Defiance, 9-0, in a dual match.
Transylvania's Kelsey Fulkerson (Lexington, Ky./Dunbar) was named the conference's player of the week for her perfect effort last week. The sophomore only lost five games in singles play on her way to a 3-0 mark.
Anderson earned two wins over Mount St. Joseph and Hanover, improving its conference mark to 3-1. The Ravens sit along side Franklin who lost to Transy and won at Manchester.
