Women's Outdoor T&F Report (Week 4) - Transy Finishes 5th at University of the Cumberlands

GREENWOOD, IN - Transylvania University earned a fifth place finish at the 15 team University of the Cumberlands Invitational Saturday.  Centre captured the meet with 144 points, while the Pioneers earned 65 points.

Transy’s Lucy Wright (Lynchburg, Ohio/Lynchburg-Clay) earned 20 points at the meet to lead the Pioneers. The senior placed second in the shot put (12.6 meters) and discus (38.33 meters), while earning a fifth place finish in the javelin (28.29 meters).

Bluffton, Defiance, and Mount St. Joseph each competed at the All-Ohio Championships at Ohio Wesleyan Saturday.  DC finished 17th overall to lead the HCAC contingent.

DC freshman Brooke Lime (Defiance, Ohio/H.S.) posted the best result of the day for the Jackets, finishing the 100-meter hurdles in fourth place with a time of 15.98.

The Indiana Division III Championships slated to take place at Franklin College over the weekend were cancelled due to the weather.

This weekend's schedule will be the final tune up before the HCAC Outdoor Championships at Franklin College on April 27-28.
