Earlham senior Aishat Sadiq (Richmond, Texas / Carnegie Vanguard) has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.
Sadiq ran an Earlham record time of 12.14 seconds on Friday at the Georgia Tech Invitational in Atlanta, Ga. Running against a mostly Division I field, the senior finished 17th out of 49 competitors in the event. Sadiq’s time ranks seventh in the 100m on the NCAA Division III performance list, and is the top time in the Great Lakes Region.
The senior also ran in the 200m at the Georgia Tech Invitational, posting a personal best time of 25.22 seconds and is ranked 19th on the NCAA DIII performance list, and second in the Great Lakes Region.
The Earlham Quakers women’s track and field team will travel to Cincinnati, Ohio this weekend for the HCAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
