Volleyball Report (Week 6) - Bluffton Posts Fourth Straight Win, Moves to 3-0

GREENWOOD, IN - Bluffton earned its fourth straight win and moved into a tie with Rose-Hulman for first place in the league standings last week.  The Beavers blanked Anderson 3-0 to stay unblemished in conference play at 3-0 and hold an overall mark of 14-5 overall this season.

Freshman Courtney Zimmerman (Leesburg, Ohio/Fairfield) pounded a team-high 11 kills on 18 attempts against the Ravens, while junior Allison Streicher (Continental, Ohio/H.S.) added six kills and 11 digs in the win.

Rose-Hulman (16-6, 3-0 HCAC) also posted their third conference win last week.  The Engineers defeated Manchester 3-1 and knocked off Cincinnati Christian 3-0 for their eighth straight win.  RHIT saw their win streak come to a close last night as nationally ranked DePauw came to Terre Haute for a 3-2 win.

In other conference action last week...Franklin notched its first league win with a 3-2 defeat of Manchester.  Mount St. Joseph moved to 2-1 with a 3-0 shutout of Hanover, while the Panthers rebounded with a 3-1 win over Anderson.  Defiance found the win column for the first time during conference play this season, beating Transylvania 3-0.
