Volleyball Report (Week 8) - Bluffton Notches 10th Straight Victory

GREENWOOD, IN - Bluffton University remained atop the conference standings and posted a perfect 3-0 mark overall last week.  The Beavers (20-5, 5-0 HCAC) ran their win streak to 10 in a row with three conference matches remaining.

Bluffton defeated Cincinnati Christian 3-0 and Asbury 3-1 in non-conference action and handed Transylvania a 3-0 defeat in the Beavers lone HCAC tilt.  Jenna Eshleman (Landisville, Pa./Hempfield) pounded seven kills and added 11 digs in BU's 3-0 win over Transylvania.  Eshleman added 15 kills in each win over Cincinnati Christian and Asbury.

Mount St. Joseph continued its hot play, posting a 4-0 record on the week.  The Lions (19-8, 6-1 HCAC) remained in contention for the conference title, earning wins over Anderson and Rose-Hulman in conference action.  MSJ also knocked off rival Thomas More and Indiana-East 3-1 in non-conference play.

In other conference action last week...Hanover won its third straight conference match with a 3-2 win at Rose-Hulman.  Defiance blanked Manchester 3-0, while Anderson handed Franklin a 3-0 defeat.
