Volleyball Report (Week 5) - Rose-Hulman Rides Six-Game Win Streak to 2-0 HCAC Mark

GREENWOOD, IN - Rose-Hulman moved into a tie with Bluffton at the top of the league standings with a 2-0 mark, going 3-0 overall last week.  The Engineers have pounded out a school record tying six straight wins, including conference victories over Defiance and Franklin.  RHIT boasts the best overall mark in the league, standing 14-5 overall this season.

Rose began the week with a 3-1 road win over Franklin and notched two 3-0 triumphs over Blackburn and Westminster (Mo.) on Saturday afternoon.

Sophomore Morgan Williams (Fenton, Mich./Powers Catholic) led the Engineers during the week, smashing 26 kills at a .429 attack percentage with seven blocks, seven digs and three aces.   

Bluffton also notched a 3-0 record during last week's action.  The Beavers blanked Wilmington 3-0 at Founders Hall before posting two conference wins over Mount St. Joseph and Hanover.

In other conference action last week...Transylvania posted a 2-1 record in conference last week, defeating Franklin 3-2 on the road, falling at Anderson 3-2, and blanking Manchester 3-0.  Mount St. Joseph rebounded from the loss to Bluffton and handed Defiance a 3-0 decision.  The Jackets ended the week with a 3-2 loss to Hanover.
