Mounts Grauvogel Named AVCA Second Team All-American
LEXINGTON, KY- College of Mount St. Joseph junior outside hitter Jamie Grauvogel (Cleves, Ohio/Harrison) represented the HCAC as an American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-American, the AVCA announced.
Grauvogel was named a Second-Team All-American after leading the Lions to a 24-10 overall record and a 7-1 mark in conference play. The junior earned All-Great Lakes Region honors from the AVCA and was a first-team selection by the HCAC.
Grauvogel led the conference with 549 kills (4.65 pg) and ranked second in hitting percentage (.300). The junior standout also paced the league with 45 service aces during the 2009 season and added 339 digs and a team-high 80 blocks.
The 2009 All-America selections were made by the AVCA Division III All-America Committee.
