Volleyball Report (Week 1) - Mount Goes 3-1 at Elmhurst Invitational

GREENWOOD, IN - Mount St. Joseph had the best weekend of all conference teams, recording a 3-1 mark at this weekend's Elmhurst College Invitational.  The Lions defeated Blackburn and Trine, 3-0 on Friday before splitting a pair on Saturday.

The Lions lone defeat this season was a 3-0 shutout loss to No. 4 ranked Wisconsin-Oshkosh in the Elmhurst Invite championship game.  Junior hitter Jamie Grauvogel (Cleves, OH/Harrison) was named to the All-Tournament team for her efforts and was also named the HCAC Player of the Week.

Rose-Hulman moved to 4-2 after a success first week for the Engineers.  Rose notched a 2-2 mark at the Earlham Invitational as sophomore Karah Hickman (Hobart, Ind./H.S.) led the effort by earning a spot on the all-tournament team.

Hanover's Rachel Kloentrup (Morning View, Ky./Simon Kenton) earned a spot on the all-tournament team at the Capital Volleyball Opener.  The junior outside hitter led Hanover to wins over Capital and Alegheny on the weekend.
