Volleyball Report (Week 1) - Rose Goes 5-0 for Best Start in School History

GREENWOOD, IN - Rose-Hulman had the best start of any women's volleyball team in their program's history after posting a 5-0 mark during the first week of action.  The Engineers defeated Brescia at home before notching a 4-0 record at the Eureka College Tournament.

RHIT opened the weekend with a 3-2 defeat of Centre, before notching 3-0 sweeps of Illinois College, Stephens College, and Robert Morris-Springfield. 

Junior Morgan Williams (Fenton, Mich./Powers Catholic) led the attack with 39 kills (.419 hitting percentage), 20 total blocks, and seven digs.

Preseason favorite Bluffton University also is off to a red hot start, standing 6-0 on the season.  Bluffton finished 4-0 to claim the title at the Capital University Invitational this past weekend.

Junior hitter Courtney Zimmerman (Leesburg, Ohio/Fairfield) led the Beavers during the week, hitting .346 with 50 kills.  She also added 13 total blocks and seven digs to her totals.
