Volleyball Report (Week 3) - Hanover Runs Win Streak to Five Straight

GREENWOOD, IN - Hanover College continued its hot play as the Panthers earned a 3-0 mark at the Centre Tournament.  HC has now won five in a row after earning wins over Fisk, Marietta, and Kenyon down in Danville, Kentucky.

Hanover (7-4, 0-0 HCAC) swept Fisk and Kenyon and pulled out a narrow 3-2 win over Marietta at the tournament.

Senior outside hitter Abbey Merritt (Indianapolis, Ind./Lawrence North) led the Panthers during the week, averaging 11.7 kills, 16.3 digs, and 1.7 blocks per match.

Merritt totaled 35 kills, 49 digs, and five blocks, including a 14 kill, 18 dig performance against Marietta.

Transylvania (7-4, 0-0 HCAC) also played at Centre, earning sweeps over Fisk, Kenyon, and Marietta.

Freshman outside hitter Lauren Ketron (Mason, Ohio/William Mason) led the Pioneers with 34 kills. She also had an attack percentage of .500.

Defiance (7-5, 0-0 HCAC) was the third HCAC squad to compete in Danville.  The Yellow Jackets were also perfect during the weekend, defeated Fisk, Centre, Kenyon, and Marietta.

Senior Marlea Rolander (Napoleon, Ohio/H.S.) led the Jackets with 30 kills, 13 blocks, four digs and two assists.
