Volleyball Report (Week 1) - Bluffton Stands 3-1 After Opening Weekend

GREENWOOD, IN - Bluffton University got off to a solid start, posting a 3-1 record at the Haverford (PA) Invitational.  The Beavers earned wins over host Haverford, Susquehanna, and Frostburgh State and fell to No. 4 Christopher Newport.

Bluffton's Jenna Eshleman (Landisville, Penn./Hempfield) led the Beavers over the weekend, earning the HCAC Player of the Week award.

The senior pounded 52 kills on 136 swings for a .257 hitting percentage.  She also added 59 digs, one solo block, two block assists, and a pair of service aces.

Eshleman posted a double-double in three matches, including a 17 kill, 19 dig performance against Susquehanna.

Anderson and Manchester each got off to 2-2 starts.  The Ravens earned a pair of wins at the Kalamazoo Invitational, while Manchester split their contests at the Ohio Wesleyan Invitational.
