Rebecca Luking, Transylvania University, Volleyball

Transylvania University’s Rebecca Luking (Louisville, Ky./Ballard) set a new career Transy record for aces during the week of play and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week. 

The junior setter tallied 36 assists, six aces, four digs, four kills, and a block assist as the Pioneers swept Earlham 3-0 Friday evening.  In a 3-0 sweep of Franklin, Luking added 45 assists, five aces, five digs, two kills, and one block assist. 

The junior currently leads the HCAC in assists (11.11/set) and service aces (0.60/set) this season. 

The Pioneers (22-6, 6-1 HCAC) face first place Mount St. Joseph in Cincinnati Tuesday night before closing the regular season against Manchester Saturday.
