Women's Cross Country Report (Week 4) - MC Notches 5th Place Showing at Otterbein
GREENWOOD, IN - Manchester joined Bluffton and Transylvania at the Otterbein Invitational over the weekend. The Spartans led the conference group with a fifth place finish, while the Beavers and Pioneers placed ninth and 13th in the 14 team field.
The three schools were the only HCAC squads in action over the weekend.
Karla Madrigal (Elkhart, Ind./Central) continued her amazing season by pacing the black and gold to a fifth place showing. Madrigal finished seventh overall with a time of 23:26.5.
Bluffton University was paced by Brandi Dominique (Wauseon, Ohio/H.S.). The sophomore earned a 33rd place finish with a time of 25:17.4.
Transylvania earned a 13th place finish behind the performance from Betsy Heines (Shepherdsville, Ky./North Bullitt). The senior placed 56th among 152 runners with a time of 25:59.6.
This weekend's schedule is a full one as nine of the ten HCAC institutions will hit the course. Manchester is the lone school off this week and will return to action on October 8.
