GREENWOOD, IN- Nationally ranked Johns Hopkins University won the Gibson Family Division III Pre-National Women's Cross Country Meet on Saturday in Terre Haute. Manchester University led the five competing HCAC schools with an 15th place finish among the 30 schools.
Senior Karla Madrigal (Elkhart, Ind./Central) placed 27th to lead the Spartans, finishing the 6K course with a time of 23:02.
Franklin College placed 19th overall and was followed by Hanover College (20th), Rose-Hulman (26th), and Mount St. Joseph (27th).
Franklin's Hillary Cain (Rushville, Ind./H.S.) was the top HCAC finisher at the meet, finishing 12th among 326 runners with a 6K time of 22:32.9.
This weekend will be the final tune up before the HCAC Championships at Bluffton University on Saturday, October 27.
