Women's Cross Country Report (Week 6) - Franklin Places Second at Principia Cowbell Classic

GREENWOOD, IN- Behind two top-eight performances, the Franklin College women's cross country team earned a second-place finish at Principia College's Cowbell Classic on Saturday.

The Grizzlies compiled 66 points and edged the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater by 11 points for second place. Lindenwood University won the meet with 22 points.

Senior Ashley Myers (Edinburgh, Ind./H.S.) had a runner-up performance (23:34.94) to lead the attack. Classmate Madison Parker (Franklin, Ind./H.S.) ran the program's 13th fastest 6-kilometer time to finish in eighth place (24:15.05).

Rose-Hulman was the only other HCAC team in action last week.  The Engineers placed 12th at the 21 team Carnegie Mellon Invitational Saturday.

This weekend will be the final tune-up before the HCAC championship meet on Saturday, October 31.
