GREENWOOD, IN- Seven HCAC schools competed at the Wilmington #JennaStrong Fall Classic on Friday afternoon in the final tune-up before the HCAC Championship on October 31. Hanover was the top finishing HCAC school at the event, placing fourth among the 37 schools.
Senior Teresa Wiczynski (Columbus, Ind./East) led the Panthers with a sixth place finish among 349 runners. Wicynski finished with a time of 18:37.9 on the 5K course.
Defiance College’s Eme Miller (Ontario, Ohio/H.S.) was the top finishing HCAC and Division III athlete at the meet. The junior placed second among 349 runners with a mark of 18:22.4.
Franklin College finished ninth in the team standings and was followed by Anderson (12th), Earlham (25th), Transylvania (27th), Mount St. Joseph (28th), and Defiance (30th).
Manchester and Bluffton were in action at the Oberlin Invitational Saturday. The Spartans finished 11th in the 29 team field, while the Beavers finished 20th.
Rose-Hulman was also in action Saturday, placing seventh among 10 schools at the University of Evansville Invitational.
All squads will be off this weekend in preparation for the HCAC Championships on October 31 hosted by Franklin College.
