Women's Cross Country Report (Week 5) - Spartans Enter Great Lakes Regional Rankings

GREENWOOD, IN- Manchester junior Mariah Jordan (Fort Wayne, Ind./Homestead) placed in the individual top 65 at the Greater Louisville Classic against multiple division competition Saturday.

Jordan, registering the low effort for MU for a 16th successive meet, circled the course at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park in 18:42.1. She was the third-highest placing non-NCAA Division I or II runner, only trailing two runners from Taylor University.

Manchester University joined the top 10 of the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's Great Lakes regional poll, coming in at No. 10.

Hanover, Franklin, and Transylvania competed in the Silver race at Louisville.  The Panthers placed seventh among 41 teams, while the Grizzlies finished 32nd.  Transylvania did not post a team score.

Bluffton, Defiance, and Mount St. Joseph took part in the All-Ohio Championships on Friday.  The Beavers finished 13th in the standings, while the Lions placed 18th in the 18 team field.  Defiance did not post a team score.

Franklin and Rose-Hulman are the only two teams in action this week.  The Grizzlies will run at Principia, while the Engineers will run at Carnegie Mellon.
