Women's Cross Country Report (Week 3) - Spartans Lead HCAC Field at Indiana Intercollegiate

GREENWOOD, IN- The Indiana Intercollegiate meet was held on Friday at Indiana State University in Terre Haute.  Manchester led the HCAC field with a fifth place finish in the standings. 

Junior Mariah Jordan (Ft. Wayne, Ind./Homestead) led the Manchester effort with a time of 19:14.8 to take fifth place in the overall individual standings. Jordan led all HCAC runners at the meet.

Franklin, Hanover, Anderson, and Rose-Hulman also competed in Terre Haute. The Grizzlies placed eighth in the team standings, while Hanover and Anderson finished 10th and 12th overall.  Rose-Hulman placed 14th a team.

Bluffton and Defiance traveled to Otterbein University to compete at the Otterbein Invitational Saturday.  The Beavers placed ninth as a team, while Defiance did not post a team score.  Defiance College’s Eme Miller (Portland, Ind./Jay Co.) placed third among 209 runners, finishing the 6K course with a time of 22:23.9.

Transylvania was in action at Berea as the Pioneers did not post a team score at the meet.

This week's schedule features Bluffton, Mount St. Joseph and Rose-Hulman participating in the Rose-Hulman Pre-Regional on Saturday.
