GREENWOOD, Ind. - The Greater Louisville Classic meet was held on Friday in Louisville, Kentucky, and Manchester led the three-team HCAC field with an eleventh place finish.
Manchester sophomore Hannah Wappes (Columbia City, Ind. / Columbia City) led the Spartans to tie for 10th in multi-divisional field at the Greater Louisville Classic. Wappes finished seventh with a time of 19:19.1 and led the HCAC and NCAA Division III field at the invite.
Franklin and Hanover also competed in the Greater Louisville Classic and finished in a tie for 24th place.
Bluffton and Defiance participated in the All-Ohio Championships on Friday. The Beavers placed 12th out of 17 teams with a total of 330 points while Defiance did not post a team score at the meet.
Rose-Hulman placed third in a field of eight teams at the H.W. Wright Millikin Classic. Senior Camille Blaisdell (Barrington, Ill. / Barrington) led the Rose-Hulman performance with a 25th place finish in a six-kilometer time of 24:00.
Anderson and Earlham competed in the Pat Thomas Invitational in Richmond, Indiana. The Quakers recorded a first place finish with a score of 18, and the Ravens placed second with 47 points.
The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference women's cross country teams will not compete this weekend. On October 13th, the #JennaStong Fall Classic is taking place and on the following Saturday teams will be participating in the Oberlin College Inter-Regional Rumble.
